Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Fae Social (social.junovy.com), operated by Junovy. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these Terms.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Fae Social. By using the service, you confirm that you meet this age requirement.

Your Account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. If you suspect unauthorised access, contact us immediately at support@junovy.com.

Acceptable Use

You agree to use Fae Social in compliance with applicable laws and our Code of Conduct. You must not:

• Post content that is illegal, abusive, threatening, harassing, or discriminatory.
• Impersonate another person or misrepresent your affiliation.
• Distribute spam, malware, or unsolicited commercial messages.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or other users' accounts.
• Scrape, crawl, or otherwise extract data from the service without permission.
• Interfere with the operation or security of the service.

Your Content

You retain ownership of content you post on Fae Social. By posting content, you grant Junovy a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display, distribute, and store that content as necessary to operate the service, including distribution via ActivityPub federation.

You may delete your content at any time. Deletion will remove the content from our servers. However, federated copies on other ActivityPub servers are subject to those servers' retention policies.

Federation

Fae Social is part of the fediverse via the ActivityPub protocol. Public posts may be distributed to and stored by other servers in the network. We cannot control how other servers process or retain federated content.

Moderation

We reserve the right to remove content and suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or our Code of Conduct. We aim to enforce our rules fairly and transparently. You can appeal moderation decisions by contacting moderation@junovy.com.

Service Availability

We aim to keep Fae Social available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform maintenance, updates, or changes to the service at any time. We will provide notice of planned downtime where possible.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Junovy is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you have paid for the service in the preceding 12 months (for free accounts, this is zero).

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting a notice on the platform at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands. Any disputes will be submitted to the competent courts in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
